These exercise program is usually done within specific periods of time depending on the level of stamina the person has. Beginners can start with exercises done for 10 minutes to 20 minutes at most. When their bodies have adjusted properly, they can start extending the time span of their exercises to 30 minutes and more. There is no need to do an aerobic activity with high intensity but the types of exercise have long durations.

Aerobic means “in the presence of oxygen.” As the person performs the aerobic or anaerobic exercise, the need for oxygen is increased. This prompts the heart to pump blood faster in order to accommodate the increase in oxygen needed to be transported or distributed all over throughout the body. The lungs and circulatory system are also very much optimized to equalize the increased activity in the heart.

Regular training strengthens the large muscle groups including the heart muscle. Because of this, there is a larger amount of blood that is produced at every stroke of the heart. With fewer strokes but bigger blood flow, the body receives the oxygen more quickly, more efficiently, and more effectively. It will be best to start with a short duration first and let your system adjust to the training slowly. Moderate pacing is important in any physical activity so as to let the body cope accordingly without shocking it.
